Gran Canaria, 30 August–4 September 2026. One contribution: a review of ionic liquids as CO₂ absorbents, seen from the bubble column.
Oral presentation
21st Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems, Gran Canaria, Spain, 30 August–4 September 2026.
A review of ionic liquids as CO₂ absorbents, carried through to the reactor. It covers the classes of ionic liquid and the physicochemical properties that decide absorption performance — viscosity, surface tension, CO₂ solubility — then the experimental evidence available from gas–liquid contactors and the industrial applications that exist. It finds the field short of comprehensive experimental datasets and of validated predictive models for ionic-liquid systems, and closes by proposing the bubble-column absorption system of the AURIGA project.
