Partners · Guest stays
AURIGA works with partner groups in Germany, Austria, Japan and France. Each collaboration pairs expertise the partner has built with questions and measurements the project brings, through research stays, visiting periods and joint publications.

Dresden, Germany · Single-bubble measurement
Its multiphase-flow group works on the experimental study of gas–liquid flows and on the optical techniques used to measure them — the bubble scale on which AURIGA builds its description of the flow.

Hamburg, Germany · Mass transfer
The institute works on multiphase reactors, on interfacial transport and on the experimental methods behind them, from single bubbles up to industrial equipment — the range of scales AURIGA covers with its own facilities.

Linz, Austria · Multi-scale modelling
Work there covers the modelling of multi-phase flows across scales, and how small-scale physics is carried into simulations of large systems — the question AURIGA meets at the column scale.

Okinawa, Japan · Simulation of complex flows
The unit works on the numerical simulation of complex and multiphase fluids — the same flows AURIGA approaches from the experimental side. The two groups work under a collaboration between the Complex Fluids and Flows Unit and the AURIGA group.

France · Industrial-scale CFD
A French research and training institute working on energy and process technologies, including the simulation of reactors at industrial scale — the scale the project’s laboratory work is meant to inform.
