Andrea Ferrario
Andrea Ferrario is a PhD student in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology at Politecnico di Milano. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2018 and his Master’s degree in Energy Engineering in 2023 from the same institution.
His research activity began with his Master’s thesis, which focused on the experimental study of two-phase flows in corrugated plate heat exchangers. He subsequently continued his research at Politecnico di Milano as a research fellow, working on the development of experimental facilities for the study of single- and two-phase flows in compact heat exchangers and bubble columns.
Since September 2024, he has been pursuing his PhD at the Department of Energy at Politecnico di Milano, where his research focuses on the experimental investigation of gas–liquid dynamics in bubble columns, with particular attention to single-bubble dynamics and coalescence phenomena. He is also a teaching assistant for the course Fisica Tecnica at Politecnico di Milano.
